How You'll Create Opportunities in This Role

  • Technical Direction and Solution Leadership: Lead technical design for Palantir applications, workflows, integrations, and platform capabilities. Define implementation approaches, guide architecture decisions, and ensure solutions are built with appropriate security, reliability, maintainability, and performance considerations.


  • Engineering Standards and Patterns: Establish and promote reusable engineering patterns, coding practices, testing expectations, documentation standards, and support models for Foundry-based applications across project teams.


  • Foundry Platform Enablement: Guide the use of Foundry capabilities such as Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Functions, Actions, Code Repositories, security/access management, lineage, and deployment patterns. Help teams apply these capabilities consistently and appropriately.


  • Design Reviews and Quality Oversight: Review complex designs and code, identify technical risks, challenge weak implementation approaches, and ensure applications are built to meet business goals and long-term support expectations.


  • Mentorship and Team Development: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to engineers. Help raise the team's capability by sharing knowledge, reviewing work, and supporting consistent engineering practices.


  • Cross-Project Technical Planning: Identify dependencies, shared components, technical debt, and cross-team impacts across projects. Partner with product owners, architects, and managers to align technical delivery with project and portfolio priorities.


  • Production Support and Technical Escalation: Serve as a technical escalation point for complex production issues. Lead root-cause analysis, recommend durable fixes, and help improve monitoring, supportability, and operational readiness.


  • Client Service and Communication: Communicate technical options, risks, recommendations, and tradeoffs clearly to business users, technology teams, vendors, management, and senior leaders.


Technical Competencies

  • Palantir Foundry Leadership: Guide application teams in the use of Foundry capabilities such as Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Functions, Actions, Code Repositories, security/access management, lineage, and deployment patterns.


  • Solution Architecture: Lead solution design for complex applications, integrations, workflows, and data models. Identify technical risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and recommend practical approaches that can be supported over time.


  • Engineering Standards: Establish and reinforce standards for code quality, testing, documentation, deployment, troubleshooting, and operational support across Foundry application teams.


  • Application Engineering: Develop and review maintainable solutions using modern engineering practices and technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD concepts.


  • Data and Integration: Guide data modeling, transformation, integration, data quality, and connection patterns for enterprise systems, files, databases, APIs, and Foundry-based solutions.


  • Technical Mentorship: Coach engineers through design decisions, implementation challenges, code reviews, troubleshooting, and adoption of consistent engineering practices.


  • Agentic Development: Experience using different LLMs. Knowledge of different models, experience working with MCP, and familiarity with different agentic coding frameworks.


What You Will Need

  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience required. 8 years of relevant experience preferred.


  • Experience developing enterprise applications, workflows, integrations, or platform-based solutions preferred


  • Experience providing technical direction for complex application engineering efforts preferred


  • Experience reviewing technical designs, mentoring engineers, and improving engineering practices preferred


  • Experience with Palantir Foundry preferred.


  • Agentic development experience


  • Education: Bachelor's degree required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.


  • Certifications/Licenses: None required.
