JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Engineer, Marketing and Social Technology will provide hands-on technical leadership, solution design, delivery oversight, and production support for enterprise-scale marketing, customer engagement, social media, and compliance technology platforms. This role involves partnering with various stakeholders including product owners, marketing teams, compliance, cybersecurity, risk, vendor teams, and internal engineering groups to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and well-governed technology solutions. The successful candidate will focus on automation, operational stability, data integrity, and business enablement by leveraging a strong blend of engineering depth, DevOps discipline, platform ownership, stakeholder engagement, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for Marketing Technology and Social Technology platforms, including solution design, implementation, integration, onboarding, production support, and escalation management.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of platform enhancements, SaaS integrations, automation initiatives, and roadmap capabilities across Martech and SocialTech ecosystems.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing, compliance, analytics, and client engagement objectives into clear technical requirements and scalable engineering solutions.
• Design, implement, and govern secure integrations across enterprise platforms using APIs, identity and access management patterns, data pipelines, provisioning workflows, and vendor-supported integration capabilities.
• Improve platform reliability, resiliency, and operational efficiency through DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, documentation, and continuous service improvement.
• Act as a Level 3 technical escalation point for complex production incidents, root cause analysis, vendor coordination, and remediation planning.
• Support secure and compliant platform delivery by aligning solutions to cybersecurity, data governance, privacy, risk, change management, and operational control requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, runbooks, onboarding guides, architecture materials, and knowledge transfer content for engineering and managed service support teams.
• Lead technical design discussions, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to a collaborative Agile delivery culture.
• Support the design and planning of key architecture deliverables, including security architecture designs, C4 diagrams, architecture decision records, and technical design documents, to clearly document solution scope, risks, controls, dependencies, and implementation decisions.
• Evaluate emerging capabilities such as AI assistants, GenAI-enabled workflow improvements, personalization, analytics, and automation opportunities to improve business outcomes and reduce manual effort.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of technology delivery, software engineering, SaaS platform engineering, digital marketing technology, or enterprise application support experience.
• Hands-on experience leading technical delivery for enterprise SaaS or marketing technology platforms, including onboarding, configuration, integration, lifecycle management, and production support.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including automation, source control, release management, CI/CD, environment management, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Experience with API-based integrations, REST services, JSON, authentication patterns, and troubleshooting integration failures across distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of enterprise identity, access management, and security integration patterns such as SSO, OAuth, OIDC, SAML, roles, entitlements, and provisioning workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Ability to translate stakeholder needs into technology requirements, solution options, implementation plans, and clear delivery outcomes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, vendors, product owners, risk partners, and senior leaders.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments with a strong sense of ownership, prioritization, collaboration, and accountability.
• Understanding of security, privacy, data governance, change management, and operational risk controls in a regulated enterprise environment.
• Experience with scripting or development languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, PowerShell, shell scripting, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, key management, encryption, data pipelines, web application infrastructure, networking, proxies, load balancing, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, with hands-on experience in web proxy and load-balancing technologies.
• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, Podman, Git-based development workflows, GitHub Copilot, or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault, Azure Managed HSM, AWS KMS, or AWS CloudHSM, including IAM policies, key lifecycle management, encryption-at-rest concepts, audit logging, and troubleshooting key access or integration issues.
• Experience in creating or contributing to enterprise architecture documentation, including C4 models, security architecture designs, ADRs, integration diagrams, data flow diagrams, and control-aligned design artifacts for regulated technology environments.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities such as Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time CDP, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Tags, Web SDK, XDM schemas, datasets, destinations, and identity services.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Stensul, Sprinklr, Proofpoint Patrol, or similar enterprise marketing, email, social media, social publishing, compliance supervision, or client engagement platforms.
• Knowledge of customer data platforms, segmentation, personalization, campaign activation, marketing analytics, attribution, experimentation, and digital engagement measurement.
• Working knowledge of bilingual business environments, including the ability to communicate effectively in English and French where required.
