Bring your bold ideas and fearless risk-taking to redefine connectivity and transform how the world shares stories and experiences that matter. When you step into a career with AT&T, you won’t just imagine the future-you’ll create it.

About this role

To win in a connected, always‑on marketplace, AT&T requires consistent, scalable, and disciplined marketing ways of working. This role is responsible for defining, standardizing, and embedding enterprise‑wide marketing operating models that enable marketers to plan, execute, and optimize work effectively—regardless of channel, team, or business unit.

The Lead Marketing Manager – Marketing Operations serves as a steward of how marketing work gets done. The role drives clarity, consistency, and capability across the marketing value chain by designing common processes, governance frameworks, and enablement models that help teams work smarter, faster, and with greater impact.

The ideal candidate would be considered a subject matter expert in marketing fundamentals and have experience in driving change through strategic process implementation. They should be grounded in data driven decision making, marketing resource management implementation strategy and continuous improvement and process optimization.

Marketing Process development and integration

  • Define and maintain end‑to‑end marketing operating frameworks that span planning, intake, execution, optimization, and measurement

  • Translate Marketing & Growth playbooks and the Marketing Charter into practical, scalable processes

  • Establish enterprise standards for how marketing work is planned, prioritized, governed, and delivered

  • Ensure processes are flexible enough to support diverse marketing motions while maintaining consistency

  • Continuously assess and evolve ways of working to keep pace with business needs and market dynamics

Tool Enablement

·      Ensure marketing processes are effectively supported by enabling platforms (e.g., Workfront)

  • Partner with platform owners to align configurations to standard ways of working, not bespoke team preferences

  • Drive adoption of tools by anchoring them in clear process value and marketer outcomes

  • Identify opportunities where tooling can further reinforce consistency, visibility, and efficiency

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Influence without authority across diverse marketing teams and enterprise partners

  • Build strong relationships to drive alignment, adoption, and sustained behavior change

  • Communicate progress, impact, and insights to senior leadership with executive presence

  • Act as a change leader, balancing pragmatism with long‑term operational maturity

 Expertise:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, preferably within a marketing environment.

  • Proven experience standardizing and scaling marketing processes in large, complex organizations

  • Deep understanding of marketing operating models and value chains

  • Demonstrated ability to enable teams through process clarity, governance, and change management

  • Strong data literacy with the ability to translate operational metrics into decisions

  • Experience using MRM and workflow tools as enablers of process, not as the strategy itself

Personal Disposition:

  • Strong decision making, influencing/consensus building and analytical skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.

  • Ability to innovate and drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Change agent and pragmatist; able to drive positive cultural change at AT&T

  • Detail oriented but able to understand and drive strategic visions.

  • Proactive and diligent about workflow, priorities and action items

  • Ability to assess risk and priorities to ensure strategic objectives are met.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Confidence in presentations to senior leadership.

  • Strong thought leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is typical.
