Full Job Description

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for advancing digital manufacturing initiatives by implementing automation solutions, developing data-driven insights, and leading technology-driven process improvements. You will collaborate across Manufacturing, AMO, DT, Engineering, and other business functions to optimize operations, enhance productivity, and accelerate innovation through the deployment of advanced technologies and digital tools.

As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
  • Driving data-driven decision-making through data acquisition systems, controls platforms, and manufacturing technologies, including LabVIEW, PLCs, and related systems.
  • Developing and implementing automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
  • Supporting and scaling advanced automation technologies, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Amazon Boxes, Coin Dispensers, and automated production systems.
  • Developing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Python, Visual Basic, SAP scripting, and related technologies.
  • Creating dashboards, reports, visualizations, and data analysis solutions utilizing Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and similar platforms.
  • Acting as the liaison between Manufacturing, AMO, Digital Technology, Engineering, and internal customers to translate technical requirements into business-focused solutions.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Leading and supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
  • Evaluating, testing, and implementing next-generation manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing, laser hardfacing, robotics, automated data collection, and induction heating solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Championing digital innovation and modernization across manufacturing operations and business processes.
  • Leading cross-functional project teams to successfully deliver technology and process improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the development of long-term digital manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with company quality, safety, environmental, and operational standards throughout all projects and initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Alternatively, have a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Have experience supporting manufacturing operations, automation systems, digital technologies, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.
  • Have experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Possess strong project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to influence teams and drive results across multiple functions.
