Pinterest is looking for an experienced executive communications lead who will build and deliver the internal communications and employee engagement strategy for select C-level executives and their organizations. In this position, you will play a key role in driving these leaders' internal communications both within their organizations and across the company for major moments.

What you'll do:
  • Serve as trusted advisor on internal comms to our C-level executives, guiding the strategy and execution of their internal communications engagements
  • Craft messaging and comms strategies that capture leader voices and employee attention, while effectively communicating complex and sensitive information across a variety of teams.
  • Write and manage key channels, including: executive emails, messaging for business updates and announcements, team town halls, talking points, executive engagement plans, and more.
  • Implement tracking and reporting to measure progress against organizational objectives.

What we're looking for:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strategic mindset with project management and leadership and leadership skills.
  • High level of competency in collaborating with and advising senior leaders, including delivering feedback.
  • Proven success building and implementing communications programs for technical teams, including skill set in distilling complex information into simple terms.
  • Strong familiarity with the technology, engineering and product space, with the ability to quickly understand and translate technical concepts, roadmaps, and tradeoffs for specific audiences.
  • Experience independently leading reactive comms including change communications and crisis management.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to execute complex communications plans and programs and drive consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Experience establishing best practices on how to leverage internal channels and collaboration tools strategically.
  • 7+ years of experience in communications (including internal communications), preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

In-Office Requirement Statement:
  • We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration as business needs require (with an anticipated cadence of ~4-5 times per month) and therefore needs to be within a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY. This role may also require periodic business travel, as needed.
