Job Description:The Electrophysiology Group, part of the Med Tech sector within Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting a
Lead Financial Analyst - EP R&D to support Research and Development located in Irvine, CA. This position is local only and not considered to be performed remotely.
The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of financial reporting for R&D operations, including detailed analysis of both operational and capital expenditures by project. This role plays a critical part in guiding R&D teams to meet financial commitments through effective budget management, resource allocation, and strategic investment optimization. The Lead Financial Analyst will lead key financial processes such as forecasting, quarterly close, and reporting cycles, while driving process improvements and standardization aligned with SigniFi initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial planning and analysis for US Product Development and Scientific Affairs, including business planning, forecasting, project spend analysis, headcount planning, and capital planning.
- Advise R&D leaders, department heads, and project managers on financial decisions, business plans, and operational priorities.
- Track actual results against business plans, identify risks and opportunities, and communicate key insights to executive management.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company guidance.
- Use data-driven analysis to influence decisions and align them with financial and strategic objectives.
- Improve efficiency through system implementations, process standardization, and automated reporting and analytics.
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members.
- Support ad hoc financial initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (required)
- Master's degree or MBA preferred; CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications are a plus
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related business functions is required
- Experience in the MedTech industry is preferred
- Proficiency with Anaplan or similar financial planning tools is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of developing talent is required
- This position is located in Irvine, CA and may require up to 5% domestic travel

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
