Position Overview:
The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical design and development of product lines, contributing to project design, development, and prototype production. This role provides system-level technical leadership, making key design decisions to ensure optimal integration across power electronics, magnetics, protection, and control systems. The Lead Electrical Engineer mentors junior staff, drives design standards and best practices, and supports management through all phases of product development from concept through manufacturing launch.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What you'll do:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering to identify relevant industry standards and compliance requirements impacting product design.
• Lead product certification planning, validation, and testing activities and support relevant Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).
• Drive design and implementation of engineering repository structures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for electrical design, including verification and validation processes. Support production through design for manufacturing (DFM), cost optimization, and reliability improvements using DFMEA / DFSS. Lead efforts to optimize assembly, test processes, and product performance in collaboration with engineering, manufacturing and testing teams. Maintain and apply expertise in relevant standards including UL, IEEE, IEC, CSA, and DOE, ensuring compliance and influencing design decisions. Lead technical reviews, provide design guidance, and mentor junior engineers to ensure engineering designs meet quality standards.
• Drive system-level design decisions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost across the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical design OR a Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of three (3) years work experience in electrical design
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience developing products from concept to manufacturing launch.
• In depth knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) techniques.
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts and test operations.
