About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership across McKesson's enterprise infrastructure spanning cloud and on-premises environments. In this role, you will set the technical direction for infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and compliance with architectural standards. You will lead large-scale projects, drive innovation in automation and reliability, and act as a key escalation point for complex issues. This role partners closely with senior engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing infrastructure solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Set technical direction for infrastructure initiatives and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices
  • Drive and oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects aligned with business objectives
  • Own network capacity planning, including optimization of performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Serve as escalation point for critical incidents and lead complex troubleshooting across infrastructure environments
  • Drive innovation through infrastructure automation, orchestration, and reliability engineering practices
  • Develop and enforce governance frameworks for SLAs, OLAs, and security/compliance requirements
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to improve infrastructure capabilities
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals


Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including enterprise-scale system design and implementation
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in hybrid or multi-cloud environments
  • Strong experience with network engineering concepts including BGP, routing protocols, and network design
  • Proven experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) for infrastructure deployment
  • Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and cost optimization
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects and serve as escalation point for complex issues
  • Experience working with enterprise security, compliance, and governance frameworks


Preferred Skills / Experience
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder influence skills across cross-functional technical teams
  • Experience implementing DevOps and SRE practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency

$122,100 - $162,800
