Lead Damage Control SME in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Position SummaryThe Lead Damage Control SME serves as the senior advisor for damage control readiness, survivability, and casualty response programs supporting Navy fleet readiness.
Responsibilities- Assess shipboard damage control programs and readiness.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and procedural compliance.
- Review casualty response capabilities and material condition.
- Provide recommendations to improve survivability and readiness.
- Support fleet inspections and readiness assessments.
Qualifications- Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
- Extensive shipboard damage control leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of current Navy damage control doctrine and procedures.
- Recent operational damage control experience within the past five years.
- 25+ years highly desirable
Occasional travel may be required. Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience.Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.The position description is only meant to be a representative summary of the major responsibilities and accountabilities performed by the incumbents of this position.
