Sayres is seeking an experienced ORCA Team Lead (Organic Repair Capability Assessment Team)in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Responsibilities

The ORCA Team Lead serves as the senior subject matter expert responsible for assessing Navy shipboard maintenance capabilities, repair readiness, and workforce effectiveness. This position leads assessments, provides recommendations to ship leadership and maintenance organizations, and supports efforts to improve fleet readiness and material condition.
  • Responsibilities
    • Lead ORCA assessment activities supporting Navy surface ship readiness.
    • Evaluate shipboard maintenance practices, workforce capabilities, and repair processes.
    • Analyze maintenance data and identify trends impacting operational readiness.
    • Provide recommendations to ship leadership, TYCOMs, ISICs, and maintenance organizations.
    • Mentor junior analysts and ensure consistency of assessment methodologies.
    • Prepare reports, briefings, and readiness evaluations for Government stakeholders.
    • Support depot-level maintenance planning and execution reviews.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on Navy maintenance and readiness programs.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum 15 years of supervisory experience supporting technical analysis, information systems, maintenance operations, or related Navy programs.
    • 25+ years of relevant experience highly desired.
    • Experience supporting Navy maintenance or training organizations such as TYCOM, ISIC, Afloat Training Group, or equivalent.
    • Extensive knowledge of Navy depot-level maintenance processes.
    • Thorough understanding of Navy surface ship maintenance programs and readiness assessments.
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Management experience may be substituted for formal education.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Occasional travel may be required. Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.

Salary Range: $90,000-$140,000, commensurate with experience.Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
