Control Management: Covers jobs responsible for partnering with their relevant business group todevelop and maintain a strong control environmentleading to theearly identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. Responsible for Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issues & Control Deficiencies, Control Governance & Reporting, and Control Programs.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer supporting Information and Cybersecurity with specific Identity and Access Management domain expertise.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact

  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area

  • Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies

  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

  • Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls

  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

  • Lead Control Management project or virtual teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Information and Cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management domain experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data interpretation and control assessments

  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and methodologies (e.g., BPMN)

  • Knowledge of secure-by-design principles and cybersecurity best practices

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards (SOX, NIST, FFIEC)

  • Knowledge of Agentic AI identity access control requirements

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work onsite on a hybrid schedule per Wells Fargo's standard operating model in one of the listed locations

Pay Range


Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $100,000.00 - $163,000.00
