Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cloud & Data Platform Engineer to join our Home Health Data Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building cloud data ecosystems from the ground up—including platform setup, infrastructure automation, orchestration frameworks, CI/CD, and scalable data pipelines.

You will serve as the technical owner of our Azure‑ and Snowflake‑based data platform, responsible for designing, provisioning, automating, and optimizing the full data ecosystem. This includes everything from infrastructure‑as‑code and DevOps pipelines to data orchestration, monitoring, and cloud‑native services.

This role is perfect for a cloud engineer who also brings strong data engineering expertise and wants to shape a modern, automated, cloud‑native data platform.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own the cloud data platform end‑to‑end, including environment provisioning, networking, security, automation, and operational readiness.
  • Design and implement cloud‑native data pipelines and platform components that are scalable, observable, and cost‑efficient.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, infrastructure, and application deployments using Azure DevOps.
  • Implement infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform/Bicep) to automate Snowflake, Azure services, networking, and security configurations.
  • Set up and manage orchestration & monitoring frameworks, including Prefect, ADF, or similar tools.
  • Develop API‑driven integrations using MuleSoft to connect cloud and on‑prem systems securely.
  • Lead the modernization to Snowflake/Databricks, including re‑architecting pipelines, data models, and operational workflows.
  • Establish platform observability, including logging, alerting, data quality checks, and operational dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud and data platform issues, ensuring reliability and uptime.
  • Collaborate with architects and business partners to design cloud‑ready, production‑grade solutions.
  • Mentor engineers on cloud engineering, DevOps, and data engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and introduce new cloud capabilities, tools, and automation patterns to improve platform maturity.

What You Bring

  • Strong experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Platform Engineer with hands‑on Azure expertise (Functions, ADF, Storage, Key Vault, Networking, DevOps).
  • Deep experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, RBAC, automation, and cost optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Experience implementing infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Bicep) for cloud and data platforms.
  • Experience setting up orchestration frameworks (Prefect, ADF, Airflow, Dagster).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git‑based workflows.
  • Experience with API‑driven integrations (MuleSoft preferred).
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, and platform engineering.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives independently and drive platform‑level decisions.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
  • Healthcare data experience is a plus.

Required Skills

  • Worked on Azure cloud Platform

  • Snowflake or Databricks ( essentially expert in writing SQL queries )
  • Working experience on any CI/CD tool ( understanding of how Git check in works and how CI/CD setup works )
  • Experience working on any ETL or orchestration tool

  • Worked on more than one Cloud platform like AWS or GCP
  • Experience in Terraform or Bicep

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$129,300 - $177,800 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
