What you'll do

Docusign is looking for a Lead Brand Strategist to serve as a key architect of our brand's long-term evolution. Working closely with our VP of Brand, you will bridge the gap between high-level market intelligence and world-class execution. You will be responsible for shepherding where the Docusign brand lives today as a category leader, to where it must go tomorrow, as a category platform owner, ensuring that every brand touchpoint is rooted in deep market insight and strategic intent. Following our award-winning rebrand in 2024, we are doubling down on our strong start and strategic positioning.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President, Brand & Creative.

Responsibility
  • Build and own a multi-year brand roadmap, developing and evolving the brand positioning, architecture, and messaging frameworks that differentiate Docusign in a shifting landscape
  • Own the development and governance of naming and nomenclature across products and experiences, ensuring a clear, consistent, and customer-first system, translating complex capabilities into simple, intuitive language that helps customers quickly understand value, navigate offerings, and make confident decisions, and partner cross-functionally (PMM, Product) to drive alignment, reduce fragmentation, and uphold a scalable naming architecture that reflects the brand strategy
  • Partner with our business strategy ops team to identify emerging markets, analyze market saturation, and pinpoint white-space opportunities for brand growth
  • Lead brand health and sentiment research initiatives, turning raw data into actionable insights, ensuring we have a pulse on how customers, prospects, and the industry perceive us
  • Partner closely with Group Creative Directors to turn complex strategies into inspiring creative briefs, acting as the connective tissue that ensures our daily output and flagship projects align with the overarching brand vision
  • Move strategy from a slide deck to the real world, overseeing the execution of strategic pillars across the Brand & Creative team, ensuring consistency and impact
  • Bring the brand to life in a way that is clear, compelling, and deeply customer-centered, championing bold ideas and high standards, translating strategy into stories and experiences that energize teams and create shared belief, and act as a cultural catalyst across functions, aligning stakeholders around a common vision and motivating the company to deliver work that is both meaningful to customers and impactful to the business
