Responsibilities

  • Conduct wet chemistry testing using various techniques
  • Utilize HPLC, UV-Vis, and CE methodologies
  • Manage sample receipt processes
  • Maintain cleanliness of laboratory glassware
  • Document test results utilizing ALCOA guidelines
  • Support the operation of multiple QC labs as needed
  • Coach and develop team members for operational improvements
  • Coordinate daily workflow to meet turnaround times (TAT)
  • Prepare job plans and conduct performance reviews

Full Job Description
  • Perform wet chemistry testing
  • HPLC, UV-Vis, CE
  • Sample receipt
  • Glassware washing
  • Use ALCOA to document test results in electronic notebooks
  • Would support various QC labs where work is needed
  • Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
  • Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
  • Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in physical science (chemistry, physics, etc.), or other related degree concentration, with a minimum of 4 years of experience
  • At least 2 years of GMP industry leadership experience is required.
  • Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and productivity
  • Proactive, positive, solution-oriented leadership style with the ability to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous projects with varying deadlines
  • Strength in employee engagement, morale, and retention
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Proficiency in IT-related skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship


Additional Information

  • The position is full-time, 8pm to 6am, Wed to Sat or Sun to Wed (4x10s shift)
  • May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
