  • Incident & Defect Resolution: Manage incident (defect) resolution, respond to support tickets, and provide timely assessments and solutions for SAP and ancillary system issues.
  • Controls, Compliance & Audit Support: Provide governance and oversight for critical finance interfaces, monitor processes (including IDOCs and batch jobs), and support monthly closings by proactively identifying and correcting accounting or system process issues. Lead system documentation, compliance reviews, and support internal/external audits or regulatory inquiries.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Analyze data quality, support cleansing efforts, and reduce risks related to incomplete, inaccurate, or inconsistent data. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of data artefacts such as Business Glossaries and Data Dictionaries.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Build strong relationships with finance, accounting, and business teams. Educate stakeholders on data best practices and National Grid policies, and participate in cross-functional initiatives related to systems and data improvements.

  • Project & Change Management: Assist in implementing finance technology projects, evaluate system enhancements, and partner with business and IT teams to ensure that system configurations and changes meet compliance standards.
  • Leadership: Lead third-party consultants/contractors as required and provide guidance to managers and senior leadership on matters related to finance systems and data management.
  • Customer Service: Engage with internal customers to deliver excellent support and ensure efficient, high-quality data and system operations across the organization.
