Job DescriptionHP OpenVMS AdministratorJob Description: - Must possess an advanced knowledge of OpenVMS operating systems on HPE Alpha and Itanium platforms. Preference is 7+ years of experience.
- Experience with monitoring complex OpenVMS environments and performing proactive maintenance.
- Experience with maintaining systems, data backups, restoration, and user account management and maintenance.
- Maintains and manages batch, generic, print queues.
- Experience tuning, configuring, troubleshooting and upgrading operating systems using tools such as SYSGEN, SYSMAN, PERFDAT and Availability Manager.
- Fluency with Digital Command Language (DCL). Knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Storage management and analysis. Knowledge and experience with Pure and EMC storage technologies and products. Knowledge of other SAN technologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with security functionality and configuration within OpenVMS systems.
- Installation and configuration of high availability (HA) environments and OpenVMS Cluster systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience using ConsoleWorks to manage OpenVMS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience using and configuring HP Virtual Connect for virtualized system management is a plus.
- Familiarity with HPE NonStop (Tandem) Guardian Operating System is a plus.
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification is a plus.
Mandatory Skills: HP OpenVMS System Admin.
Experience: 8-10 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
