What We're Looking For:The UX Researcher II conducts research efforts to understand and define user personas, workflows, operational challenges, and customer needs across a variety of enterprise operations. Understands and develops an end-to-end user journey across a mix of hardware, software, and service experiences. Prepares and runs usability testing of UX concepts and software solutions to ensure they meet user and customer needs, while also conducting customer research activities to better understand user behaviors, workflows, and challenges. Work within established processes with some direct manager supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborates closely with UX designers and senior researchers to prepare and execute research activities.
- Supports all stages of the design development process from customer research, concept development, usability testing, customer validation, and customer discovery activities.
- Plans, set-ups, and conducts UX usability testing, customer interviews, and observational research with subjects under minimal manager supervision.
- Presents research and user testing results, insights, and recommendations to a multi-disciplinary team for feedback.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's or master's degree or certificate in HCI, UX Research or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of professional experience as a User Experience Researcher
- Experience conducting customer or end user interviews
- Experience conducting usability testing, observational research, or field research activities.
- Experience creating research deliverables such as personas, journey maps, workflow maps, or research reports.
Preferred Qualifications- Moderate understanding of interaction design, research and usability testing methodologies.
- Experience combining UX Research and Design Research methods
- Familiarity with service design, systems thinking, or enterprise / frontline work contexts
- Demonstrated ability to independently frame, plan, and deliver research in ambiguous contexts
- Strong skills in synthesis, sense-making, and communicating implications to varied stakeholders
Ability and willingness to
travel up to 25% (domestic and international) to support research activities
Pay Range:$86,080.00 - $129,120.00 Annual
Incentive Compensation:In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance-based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 10% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
