The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic customer relationships across assigned contractor and dealer accounts throughout the U.S. and Canada. This role drives sales growth for the Ditch Witch product line by identifying opportunities, supporting customer needs, coordinating with dealer partners, and implementing account strategies that strengthen long-term business performance. The position serves as a key liaison between customers, dealers, and internal teams to ensure responsive communication, issue resolution, and continued account success.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly manage major and critical accounts to maximize and grow sales opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Generate revenue through the sale of company products and services.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and promotional materials.
- Support budget development and forecasting activities.
- Build consultative relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations and participate in trade shows.
- Manage sales order processes and support sales planning activities.
- Cultivate key account relationships and partner with dealers to grow business.
- Serve as an escalation point for unresolved issues involving dealers, customers, and the factory.
- Act as the primary communication link between Ditch Witch, dealer organizations, and key accounts.
- Travel regularly throughout assigned territories to maintain strong customer and dealer relationships.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to implement effective growth strategies.
- Work Environment
- Office environment with frequent travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Minimum 40% travel by air and highway; operation of company and rental vehicles.
- Onsite in Perry, Oklahoma when not traveling.
- Regular use of a personal computer.
- Occasional lifting of files and materials up to 10 pounds.
- Regular handling of confidential information.
- Exposure to underground construction equipment and job sites.
What Do You Need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of Regional Sales Manager or comparable industry experience with a proven record of business growth.
- At least five years of experience selling within the construction industry.
- Strong sales and factory representative experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other business applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and changing demands.
- Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, judgment, productivity, and attendance.
- Experience managing department budgets.
- Strong recordkeeping and administrative skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work with confidential information.

- Competitive Salary – The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $97,000 - $130,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program, which rewards employees based on individual and organizational performance.
