Yourmissions :Key Account Manager, Swine
Location: Remote - Midwest USA
Position Summary:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) - Swine is responsible for developing, managing, and growing strategic relationships with key swine production systems, veterinarians, integrators, and distributors. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company and high-value accounts, ensuring alignment with client needs, delivering value through customized solutions, and driving sales growth of the company's swine product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales goals within assigned key swine accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with decision-makers at all levels of the customer's organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing ongoing support, technical insights, and product information.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect potential high-value clients in the swine sector.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements in alignment with company policy and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to deliver product education, demonstrations, and tailored solutions.
- Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities within the swine industry.
- Provide feedback to internal teams on product performance, customer insights, and potential innovations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches in the swine segment.
- Partner cross-functionally with Technical Services, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs to meet customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, sales forecasts, and CRM updates.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on account performance, pipeline, and progress against targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Veterinary Science, or related field; advanced degree or MBA a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, key account management, or technical services in the animal health industry, preferably focused on swine.
- Deep understanding of swine production systems, health challenges, and decision-making structures.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within territory.
Preferred Attributes:
- Veterinary degree (DVM) or experience working directly with swine veterinarians or production companies.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in animal health (e.g., FDA, USDA).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and customer-centric approach.
- Experience using CRM software and data analytics tools.
