Qualifications

• Secret clearance required (must be eligible to apply)
• Controlled Goods Certification (must be eligible to apply)
• Must be a Canadian citizen
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in network administration or as a network technologist
• Hands-on experience in an enterprise-level environment
• Familiarity with virtualization products like vCentre, ESXi, vSphere, OpenStack, NSX-T, vRealise Suite, Hyper-V
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Ability to work on-site in Ottawa 2-3 days per week (hybrid model)

Responsibilities

• Manage virtual environments by deploying, configuring, and patching virtual machines and host clusters.
• Maintain software-defined networks through logical switching, routing, and security segmentation.
• Monitor network performance using tools like the vRealise Suite to ensure system availability.
• Resolve complex outages by conducting root-cause analysis for connection drops and latency issues.
• Document infrastructure changes with clear technical procedures and updated network diagrams.
