  • Visio Drafting: Create all engineering drawings, schematics, flowcharts, and layout diagrams in Microsoft Visio, maintaining a library of reusable stencils and templates.
  • Document Review & Quality Checks: Conduct initial checks of SCDs and Redlines for completeness, correct formatting, and alignment with FAA specifications.
  • Configuration Management: Keep version-controlled libraries of SCDs, Redlines, and related artifacts in the team's PLM/SharePoint environment.
  • Coordinate Ordering Changes: Work with procurement and supply-chain teams to execute any part-ordering or material-change requests that arise from approved redlines.
  • Collaboration & Shadowing: Partner with senior systems engineers, shadowing them on design reviews, change-control meetings, and FAA liaison activities to gain deeper technical insight.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend design reviews, configuration status meetings, and FAA briefings; capture action items and follow up on open issues.
