Full Job Description
About the role:

This is a highly visible, people-oriented role for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people, starting conversations, and creating a great first impression.

You'll spend significant time representing Bolt at conferences and industry events, engaging attendees, helping identify relevant prospects, introducing them to the right members of the Bolt team, and ensuring promising conversations turn into organized follow-up.

You'll also support the broader Business Development team between events, giving you exposure to enterprise sales, partnerships, emerging compute technologies, and some of the world's most innovative technology companies.

What you'll do:

  • Represent Bolt at conferences, trade shows, customer events, receptions, and industry gatherings
  • Proactively engage attendees and start conversations rather than waiting for people to approach
  • Learn Bolt's core story well enough to explain the company clearly and confidently
  • Quickly identify promising customers, partners, investors, and industry contacts and connect them with the appropriate Bolt team member
  • Help prepare for events, including target-account research, meeting coordination, invitations, logistics, and materials
  • Capture relevant conversations and contacts in HubSpot and ensure timely follow-up
  • Support customer and partner meetings as needed
  • Research companies and contacts for the BD organization
  • Travel regularly to industry events across the U.S. and potentially internationally
  • Take on increasing BD and account responsibilities as experience grows

Qualifications:

  • Exceptionally outgoing, confident, and comfortable approaching people you don't know
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, polished presence in customer-facing environments
  • High energy and comfortable spending full conference days engaging with people
  • Naturally curious and able to learn technical concepts quickly
  • Organized and reliable with follow-through
  • Comfortable traveling regularly
  • Prior experience with conferences, trade shows, events, hospitality, customer engagement, business development, or field marketing strongly preferred
  • Interest in technology, AI, GPUs, semiconductors, HPC, or emerging computing is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup where responsibilities can grow quickly

Why This Role Is Interesting

This is not intended to remain purely an events role. For someone talented and ambitious, it can become an entry point into business development, strategic accounts, partnerships, or field marketing as Bolt grows.

Ideal candidates MUST be located in the Bay Area and have the ability to be on-site in our Sunnyvale office. Travel is required at least 6-8 times a year for major conferences and team meet ups.

We currently do not offer sponsorship or relocation for this role.

Compensation Range:California: $95,000-$120,000. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role based on California/Minnesota standards; the final offer may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.

Benefits:

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision - 100% covered premiums
  • Equity - Stock Options
  • 401(k) match
  • WFH Hardware Reimbursement
  • Generous Paid Time Off
