Job Title: Junior Analyst, Corporate Finance
Department: Corporate Finance (FP&A)

Hybrid Working: 3 days in your local office

The Role

Joining a global Corporate Finance team, the FP&A Junior Analyst will be based in our New York office and support all of Kobalt's business units in planning and budgeting. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance with oversight from the VP and EVP of finance based in London. You will help drive the business through regular forecasting and analysis with a focus on revenue and margin - creating a developing financing models, providing insight into revenue performance, and carrying out ad-hoc analysis for senior management.

What You'll Do
  • You support delivery of regular weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting deliverables
  • You capture detailed notes during weekly and monthly business calls and summarize your takeaways with the team
  • You improve and integrate data across multiple systems and departments (using SQL) to increase reliability, accuracy and usefulness of reporting
  • You maintain revenue and margin models across actuals, budget, and forecast figures
  • Adopt new tools to assist with process improvements
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis

What You'll Bring
  • A strong interest in music and a desire to make the industry more fair and rewarding for creators.
  • A relevant background in Finance, including Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting or economics, or experience in a finance or music working environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel (SUMIFS, INDEXMATCH, IFS)
  • Desire to learn/Interest SQL, Python, or Tableau
  • Comfortable asking questions and forming opinions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ensuring clear and accurate presentation of findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, data inputs and stakeholders within tight deadlines in a highly productive environment.
  • An interest in automation, process optimisation, or using tech tools to improve workflows.

The range provided is for NYC-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than NYC may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. Pay range: $75,000 - $90,000
