Full Job Description
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Journeyman Engineer for Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) (NH-0801-03) to work for the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Joint Program Office at Los Angeles AFB, CA.

Qualifications/Requirements:

In this role, you will support the Military Global Positioning System (GPS) User Equipment (MGUE) programs. You will serve as a technical specialist for engineering assignments, providing insight into planning, analyzing, and evaluating efforts to define weapon system requirements and translate them into design criteria.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

This is a designated Drug Tested Position.

This position is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) and requires the ability to meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements.

Position is eligible for situational telework.

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience is required.

Key Job-Related Skills:

PNT/GPS Systems Engineering: Experience in Development and Sustainment Systems Engineering for Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT)/GPS systems.

Technical Program Support: Provide technical insight to define weapon system requirements, evaluate design approaches, and develop system specifications for MGUE programs.

Avionics and Digital Engineering: Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare, avionics engineering, and digital engineering principles.

Acquisition Process Knowledge: Understanding of the acquisition process, platform integration, testing, and systems engineering for both development and sustainment
