DUTIESOtter Tail Power Company is looking for a skilled and motivated

This position reports to Supervisor Operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of High and Medium Voltage Substation Equipment.
- Perform mechanical and electrical testing on Apparatus such as circuit breakers, reclosers, regulators, transformers, battery banks, capacitors, relays, in energized facilities.
- Support transmission, distribution, and generation systems that power our communities.
- Maintain accurate documentation including service reports, time tracking, expense records.
- Travel across our system as needed to support operations and respond to challenges.
- Play a key role in system reliability by responding to direction from the System Operator during system events or emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS- Associate degree (2-year) in Electrical/Electronic Technology from an accredited school, or equivalent military training, correspondence coursework, or experience.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic schematics and diagrams.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Sound judgment, especially in emergency situations.
- Ability to work outdoors, cooperatively with team members, and maintain positive customer interactions.
- Ability to life 50lbs, use ladders and arial lifts
- Employees are required to establish residence within 30 miles of permanent headquarters.
- A valid driver's license and a medical or the ability to obtain one is required for this position.
