Journeyman Configuration Management Analyst designated as
Key Personnel to support the F/A-18 variants program at
NAS Patuxent River. In this critical role, you will serve as a foundational stakeholder in maintaining configuration baselines and technical data integrity across aircraft systems. You will apply standardized defense configuration management processes to track lifecycle modifications, directly ensuring the technical accuracy, compliance, and deployment readiness of naval aviation assets.
Responsibilities:- Collect, structure, and interpret technical data relating to aircraft platforms and product programs to maintain strict configuration control over baseline acquisition products and data structures.
- Monitor and record physical and functional configuration changes over time, maintaining comprehensive tracking logs to prevent configuration drift.
- Facilitate the lifecycle development, internal review, and technical routing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) across program offices and industry partners.
- Apply government-mandated regulations and best practices for formal documentation control, data management, and secure information tracking.
- Partner with engineering, lifecycle logistics, and program management stakeholders to evaluate change impacts and prepare data packages for configuration control boards.
Qualifications:- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 10 years of direct experience in configuration control, change management, or program data analysis performing the functional duties described above.
- High precision and attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and proficiency in utilizing defense configuration management databases and document control repositories.
Preferred Experience:- 5+ years of direct experience supporting NAVAIR, with established familiarity in naval aviation data management frameworks.
