Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in circuit design, hardware design, analysis, and troubleshooting, preferably within the motor control and defense industry.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both the hardware and software theory of operation of motor controllers and will be capable of leading technical efforts on complex, mission-critical programs.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform electrical circuit design and hardware design for motor controllers and related power electronics.

Develop and review schematics, board-level designs, and component selections for motor drive systems.

Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulations, and design validation to meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

Own and drive hardware troubleshooting and root-cause analysis at board and system levels.

Work closely with embedded software teams to ensure proper hardware/software integration and understanding of the end-to-end motor controller operation.

Support bring-up, testing, and debug of motor control hardware in lab and system environments.

Lead technical discussions and reviews, providing guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Ensure designs comply with applicable defense, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Strong hands-on experience in circuit design and hardware design (mandatory).

Proven experience in circuit analysis, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems.

Solid understanding of motor control systems, including power stages, gate drivers, sensors, and control interfaces.

Good knowledge of power electronics (MOSFETs, IGBTs, inverters, DC-DC converters).

Understanding of hardware and software theory of operation for motor controllers.

Experience working in or with the defense industry is highly preferred. Ability to technically lead and mentor engineers on hardware development efforts.

Strong documentation, communication, and design review skills. Preferred / Additional Skills Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.

Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and mitigation techniques.

Experience in hardware bring-up, lab testing, and use of test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers).

Exposure to safety-critical or mission-critical electronic systems. Experience collaborating with systems, firmware, and test engineering teams.
