Position Description: The candidate for this role will be expected to be onsite five days a week at our client site in Pittsburgh PA.
For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be available.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise document management solutions
. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
. Design scalable and secure Java-based applications and APIs
. Integrate enterprise document management platforms with:
o Core banking systems
o Workflow platforms
o Customer-facing applications
o APIs and downstream systems
. Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
. Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines
. Drive system performance optimization, scalability, and reliability improvements
. Support CI/CD, DevOps, and automation initiatives
. Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality engineering practices
. Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis activities
. Support modernization and migration initiatives across legacy and modern platforms
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
. 8+ years of software development experience in
o Java (Java 8/11/17+)
o Spring Boot
o REST API development
o Microservices architecture
. 8+ years of Strong knowledge and experience of:
o Object-oriented design principles
o Distributed systems
o Event-driven architectures
. 5+ years of technical leadership experience
. Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Java solutions
. Experience with enterprise document management / ECM platforms such as:
o OpenText
o IBM FileNet
o Hyland OnBase
o Alfresco
o Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
o SharePoint (enterprise implementations)
. 8+ years of experience designing and developing:
o Document ingestion workflows
o Document retrieval services
o Metadata-driven document management solutions
. Strong SQL and database experience:
o Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, etc.
. Experience with:
o Linux/Unix environments
o CI/CD pipelines
o Git and version control systems
. Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
Leadership & Delivery Skills
. Experience leading and mentoring development teams
. Ability to drive technical discussions and architectural decisions
. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
. Ability to manage delivery priorities and technical risks
Desired Skills
Experience in banking or financial services industry
. Knowledge of:
o Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
o Customer Communication Management (CCM)
o Document retention and compliance requirements
. Experience with:
o Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
o Kafka or messaging/event streaming platforms
o Docker and Kubernetes
o Workflow and BPM platforms (Pega, Camunda, etc.)
. Familiarity with:
o OCR and intelligent document processing
o Content indexing and search technologies
o Security and access governance for document platforms
. Exposure to:
o Large-scale document migration initiatives
o High-volume transactional systems

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $176,300.00.
