Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Java Developer to support the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level and government systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java expertise along with experience in complementary technologies within a structured, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications supporting government and enterprise systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and system administrators to deliver high-quality solutions
- Develop and integrate APIs to support interoperability and secure data exchange
- Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and documentation efforts
- Ensure application performance, security, and reliability through adherence to best practices
- Support application deployment through CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system defects and production issues
- Ensure compliance with government standards, policies, and security requirements
Required Qualifications - Secret clearance, TS eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5 yrs of experience in Java development with strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or higher)
- Core understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Java Collections Framework
- Multithreading and concurrency
- Exception handling best practices
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA for database interactions
- Familiarity with API integrations (RESTful and web services)
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse IDE
- Familiarity with IntelliTrack Entellitrak platform
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
- Experience supporting enterprise-level or government systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technology stack, including:
- Experience with SQL Server 2017 (or newer) and T-SQL
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with reporting and UI tools such as Jaspersoft Studio and DevExpress
- Familiarity with hybrid technology environments integrating Java and .NET solutions
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA)
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Experience with relational databases and data modeling
