Job Summary
The Java Developer will design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot, with a strong focus on cloud-native development, event-driven architecture, APIs, and modern software engineering practices. The role will work with AWS, Kafka, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD technologies while contributing to AI-assisted or agentic software development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
• Develop event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka.
• Design, develop, and consume REST APIs.
• Work with MongoDB for application data storage and management.
• Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain Gradle-based projects and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and execute automated unit and integration tests using JUnit or Spock.
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic software development practices where appropriate.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 7-10 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited U.S. university.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Gradle and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with JUnit or Spock.
• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic software development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional experience with React.
• Experience with MuleSoft.
