Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing and deploying various opinionated cloud environments and platforms aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements while meeting the business-critical needs of internal customers. 2. Collaborate with enterprise architect, security teams, solution architects, product teams, etc. to design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the company's needs for scalability, availability, performance and security. 3. Monitor system usage to predict future needs, ensuring that the organization scales its IT resources appropriately. 4. Develop automation scripts and IaC templates for configuring and provisioning complex cloud resources including identity services, virtual private cloud, gateways, SSL, Kubernetes clusters, NoSQL data stores, etc. 5. Integrate enterprise security and disaster recovery policies in cloud infrastructure configurations, ensuring data protection and data retention practices comply with industry regulations6. Design, implement and optimize cloud-based storage solutions ensuring data availability, security and cost efficiency 7. Assist in the execution of technology strategy and implementation of engineering roadmaps, including optimizing cloud expenditure, maximizing resource usage and ensuring high availability across required geographic regions. 8. Evaluate new and emerging cloud technologies for incorporation into existing systems, assist in modernization efforts to prioritize and execute migrations of on-prem services to cloud systems.

Experience Required:
3-5 years in development As part of the VC&M team, the Software Engineer is responsible for building resilient and scalable solutions in Java and cloud-native environments and adhering to industry best practices and company standards. The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development and ongoing support/maintenance of the services • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or related (Masters preferred • At least 2-3 years of experience building applications in microservice product architecture • Expertise in core technologies, including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Junit, Google Cloud Platform, RESTful APIs. • Experience with MongoDB, relational databases and NoSQL solutions • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation in a GitHub-based development workflow • Efficient with canary deployments, and API related technologies such as JSON, REST, Swagger and Hoppscotch. • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery process and tools, testing frameworks and practices (preferably GitHub, Terraform, Tekton, etc.). • Generate metrics, perform user access authorization, maintain passwords, and build deployment pipelines.

***HYBRID / 4 days per week in the office*** Coding, testing, and deployment of critical features for Connected Consumer and Vehicle applications, ensuring consistency, optimization, resilience, and security. • Utilize Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, TDD, and other agile principles (e.g., Jira) throughout the development lifecycle. • Implement and advocate for best practices in software craftsmanship, ensuring solutions are well-documented, maintainable, and adhere to high coding standards. • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, automate delivery processes, and continuously improve efficiency to eliminate waste and facilitate rapid, reliable feature releases. • Architect and Design comprehensive API load-testing strategies and spearhead threat-modeling initiatives in collaboration with security teams to ensure robust, high-performance systems. • Proven experience designing and operating cloud-native systems (Google Cloud Platform preferred) • Strong experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL/SQL) and NoSQL databases (Mongo), data modeling, transactional integrity, and performance tuning. • Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and translate requirements into technical specifications and provide ongoing support for application features.
