We're seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer with strong Kotlin expertise to develop high-performance, reactive backend services and enterprise APIs. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building scalable Java applications using modern frameworks, microservices architecture, and DevOps best practices.

Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 8+ and Kotlin.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices utilizing reactive programming principles.
- Develop enterprise-grade Java/JEE applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Implement dependency injection, inversion of control (IoC), aspect-oriented programming (AOP), and functional programming techniques.
- Design and develop data access, transaction management, and batch processing solutions.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and Agile development activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
Required Skills:- 6+ years of hands-on Java development experience using Java 8 or newer.
- Professional experience developing backend APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on Kotlin development experience.
- Strong experience with reactive programming frameworks.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Java/JEE technologies.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, dependency injection, IoC, AOP, and functional programming.
- Experience with JPA, Hibernate, or other enterprise data access frameworks.
- Knowledge of transaction management and batch processing frameworks.
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience designing highly available, distributed enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Experience:- Minimum 6 years of professional backend software development experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise Java applications in Agile environments.
- Experience developing scalable, production-ready APIs and distributed applications.
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
