Job DescriptionThe supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB.
This position functions as the first-line Information Technology Development manager within DTMB's Agency Services supporting DHHS for the Administration & Departmental Solutions division. This area is primarily responsible for providing new development oversight across several applications and platforms including, but not limited to, vendor developed solutions and Microsoft Cloud Technologies such as Dynamics 365 and PowerApps.
DTMB does not participate in STEM-OPT. Signing BonusThis position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.ITM 14 -- Position DescriptionPosition Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.
Required Education and Experience EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
ExperienceThree years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.
Alternate Education and Experience Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology
Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.
