What Drives Success

This is a senior-level IT Strategic Sourcing role responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies across IT products, software, services, hardware, telecommunications, and related categories. This person will own complex sourcing initiatives, negotiate strategic supplier contracts, identify cost savings, manage supplier relationships, and partner with IT and business leadership to support technology needs.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Category Strategy and Management:
  • Develop and maintain multi-year category strategies for IT hardware, software, telecommunications, cloud services, cybersecurity, and professional services.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies to identify sourcing opportunities and risks.
  • Build category roadmaps aligned with business priorities and enterprise technology strategies.


Strategic Sourcing:
  • Lead complex sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
  • Advise and support technical teams in the development of statements of work (SOW) to support new product and/or service needs.
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) and cost-benefit analyses to support sourcing decisions.
  • Drive competitive bidding processes and supplier selection activities.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, value creation, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead large-scale contract negotiations for new products and/or services, renewals, and to drive cost reductions.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, service agreements, and software licensing structures.
  • Partner with legal and risk management teams to mitigate contractual and operational risks.
  • Monitor and take a proactive approach to vendor contract renewals.
  • Partner with IT, finance, operations, and business leaders to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Provide sourcing and category expertise during technology planning and investment discussions.
  • Communicate category performance, savings achievements, and supplier management activities to leadership.
  • Support change management and supplier transition activities.


Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Develop strategic relationships with key technology suppliers and service providers.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews, business reviews, and scorecard assessments.
  • Manage supplier compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance expectations.


Financial Management:
  • Develop category budgets and savings targets.
  • Track sourcing benefits, cost avoidance, and value delivery.
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, and budget management activities.
  • Monitor spend analytics and identify opportunities for optimization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Broad knowledge of contract law and experience with contract management, start to finish.
  • Strong understand and experience with the RFQ process, supplier and part qualification processes, along with low cost country sourcing.
  • Expert negotiator with an executive presence and the ability to influence at all level.
  • Strong presentation skills and an excellent communicator both written and verbally.
  • Analytical thought process with planning and project management skills to match.
  • Ability to work across the organization at all levels, and develop strategic category plans.


What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $116,000 - $152,250 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the Short Term Incentive (STI) bonus program with a target payout of 10%. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Richardson, TX and will be in the office Monday through Friday.
