The AFSC/A6 Cyberspace and Information Technology (IT) Directorate serves to deliver the foundation for a secure, digital and data-centric AFSC to drive enterprise digital integration. Within this directorate, this position spearheads the modernization of IT/Operational Technology (OT) architecture by guiding the implementation of advanced Digital Depot IT/OT solutions.

Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive capability studies and designing strategic action plans to optimize legacy applications and boost operational efficiency. Additionally, this role evaluates complex policy requirements to author and implement localized procedures governing secure IT/OT convergence. Serving as A6's senior technical advisor, this position provides end-to-end project management oversight for technology modernization initiatives, overseeing contracts and budget activities to ensure acquisitions align with long-range digital infrastructure goals. Finally, this role represents the organization at executive forums and inter-agency meetings, delivering high-level briefings to align stakeholders on future technology strategies.

Requirements:

Obtain & maintain a security clearance

Obtain and maintain APDP Certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

1. Knowledge of a wide range of IT principles, concepts, and methods.

2. Knowledge of the organization's policy and planning formulation process along with its missions and objectives to prepare IT polices and plans.

3. Knowledge of budgetary processes, cost-benefit analysis methods, and analysis of performance data to prepare persuasive budget recommendations in support of IT requirements.

4. Knowledge of system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.

5. Ability to analyze complexities of existing technology, review/revise/develop policy, initiate plans for enhancements, and provide management sufficient technical and cost analysis information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments.

6. Ability to maintain an up-to-date awareness of technological advances and predict how management can meet future requirements.
