As an IT Specialist (InfoSec) (Information Security Risk Threat Analyst), GS-2210-13, your typical work assignments may include:
- Detecting, assessing, and reporting security threats present in software and hardware.
- Installing and monitoring third-party installation used for viewing case evidence and for other purposes.
- Writing detailed technical reports, such as Security Risk Management Plans, summarizing findings of analyses and recommends changes to the agency's policies and procedures to mitigate security risks and threats.
- Making oral presentations to senior managers and other technical staff to persuade them to accepting findings and implement recommendations to prevent security breaches.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

BASIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTIndividuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

In addition to the BASIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT, applicants must also meet the following:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSApplicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which has provided them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of an IT Specialist (InfoSec) (Information Security Risk Threat Analyst) position at the GS-13 grade level.
Specialized experience includes:
- Experience conducting risk assessments to report vulnerabilities; and
- Experience developing incident reports, disaster recovery and contingency plans to ensure operational continuity and effective emergency response for incidents; and
- Experience reviewing and analyzing directives, polices, regulations, and procedures to implement policy.
This experience must be fully supported and articulated in your resume to receive consideration.
