As an IT Specialist, GS-2210-12, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Supports efforts to improve the nation's cyber posture and capabilities across the homeland security enterprise.
- Supports coordinating and tracking national cyber and infrastructure security policies and strategies, while supporting senior level decision making planning processes to help guide senior level decision-making.
- Assists with reviewing existing and proposed strategy an policy.
- Provides technical and non-technical support to the Cyber Director and Deputy Director.

Specialized Experience, GS-12: You must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
1) Supporting the development and implementation of cyber-related infrastructure and resilience policy through verbal and written products;
2) Participating in cyber and emerging technology policy working groups;
3) Assisting in reviewing cyber or emerging technology-related information, such as draft legislation or policies; and
4) Assisting with integrating cyber and emerging technology policy to support organizational requirements and the development and implementation of policy solutions.
