This role will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and is a partner to the IT Solutions CFO and is responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, operational accounting execution, and building a disciplined, scalable close and control environment across the business.
This is not a purely technical accounting role. While a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP is required, the emphasis is on operational excellence, process ownership, and leadership through change.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, decisive, and forward-thinking-someone who can modernize the accounting function through automation and process innovation while operating effectively in a high-expectation environment.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting Operations & Close - Own the global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; drive speed, accuracy, and consistency
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, and inventory functions
- Establish and enforce strong internal controls and accounting policies
Automation & Process Innovation - Serve as a thought leader in accounting automation and process transformation
- Identify, prioritize, and implement automation opportunities across the close, reconciliations, and transaction processing
- Leverage Acumatica ERP and adjacent tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve data integrity
- Champion a mindset of continuous improvement, eliminating low-value activities and increasing scalability
- Partner with IT and finance leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies where appropriate
Process Improvement & Scale - Lead process transformation to support continued growth (~$700M and scaling)
- Standardize and document accounting processes across entities and geographies
- Build a more predictable, efficient close with clear ownership and accountability
Leadership & Team Development - Build, develop, and manage a high-performing global accounting team
- Upskill the organization in automation, systems utilization, and process ownership
- Set clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
Business Partnership - Partner closely with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to ensure alignment between accounting and business performance
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights to support decision-making
Audit & Compliance - Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors and advisors
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and statutory requirements across jurisdictions
Change Leadership - Lead through organizational and system changes with clarity and discipline
- Maintain control and stability during periods of growth, integration, or transformation
Qualifications: - CPA required
- 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant time in a Business Unit Controller or similar leadership role.
- Strong operational accounting background (close, controls, process ownership) in a complex, global multi-entity environment
- Demonstrated experience driving automation and process improvement initiatives within accounting/finance
- Experience in distribution, IT services, or value-added reseller models strongly preferred
- Experience working with ERP systems; Acumatica experience a plus
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; ability to partner effectively with technical accounting resources when needed
- Proven track record of improving close cycles, building scalable processes, and leading through change
Leadership Profile: - Forward-looking operator who challenges the status quo and drives modernization
- Comfortable making decisions and holding ground when needed-able to effectively engage with Xerox IT Solutions management
- High accountability mindset; drives outcomes, not activity
- Strong systems thinker who connects accounting, technology, and business processes
- Hands-on leader who can go deep when necessary but doesn't get stuck there
- Clear communicator who can simplify complex issues and drive alignment
