Job Summary The IT Project Test Leader is responsible for leading testing, validation, training, and cutover activities supporting a large-scale manufacturing facility startup and legacy site transition. This role develops and executes comprehensive testing strategies across enterprise and manufacturing systems, ensuring operational readiness, compliance, and successful business adoption. The ideal candidate has deep experience managing complex testing programs in manufacturing environments, including MES, ERP, WMS, infrastructure, and production floor technologies.
Key Responsibilities - Develop testing strategy for new facility startup and legacy site closure.
- Coordinate testing across MES, ERP, WMS, infrastructure, and production floor systems.
- Align IT deliverables with operational startup milestones and readiness requirements.
- Lead validation activities including UAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Manage testing teams, schedules, defect management, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, traceability, validation evidence, and regulatory standards.
- Support data migration validation, system integration testing, readiness assessments, and cutover planning.
- Develop training programs for plant personnel, supervisors, and support teams.
- Oversee training materials including SOPs, work instructions, job aids, and system guides.
- Support go-live planning and execution for smooth transition to production operations.
- Establish hypercare support models including stabilization, issue management, monitoring, and reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders including business leaders, project managers, vendors, and quality teams.
Required Qualifications - 8+ years leading testing and QA for large-scale IT implementations.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or production environments.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, validation processes, and system integration testing.
- Experience with MES, ERP, WMS, production floor systems, infrastructure, and enterprise applications.
- Proven experience leading UAT, IQ, OQ, PQ activities.
- Experience developing training programs and organizational readiness plans.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications (if any) - Experience with manufacturing facility startups, greenfield implementations, or plant expansions.
- Knowledge of GxP, validation, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting cutover planning, data migration, and hypercare operations.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or CQE preferred.
