About the Role:Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support an upcoming federal government contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, stakeholder communication, and IT delivery, with the ability to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and risks while ensuring successful outcomes.
Location: Washington, D.C. (Candidates must reside in D.C., Virginia, or Maryland) -
Hybrid: On-site 1 day per week

Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT initiatives.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and task delegation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively to minimize impact on deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure timely delivery of project components.
- Monitor project performance metrics and implement continuous improvement practices.
Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience managing IT projects in a professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or Asana.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing role within the professional services industry.
- Advanced degree in a related field or relevant technical certifications.
