• Must be experienced with proven success in supporting on-prem and Azure IT infrastructure.

The Role:
• Hands on operations engineer keeping a hybrid environment healthy across on premises and Azure
• Monitoring, patching, upgrades, outage response, and the automation that removes repeat work
• An operations seat, not a project seat. Owning uptime is the job
• Documentation is core to the role, not an afterthought

Must Have:
• Five to ten years in infrastructure or operations in a complex hybrid environment
• Strong Azure, operational depth from daily work rather than certification only
• Ansible, hands on, building and maintaining real playbooks
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Real experience on a major observability platform such as Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic. Building dashboards and tuning alerts, not just viewing them
• Serious documentation discipline. Runbooks, diagrams, change records, written without being chased
• Calm under outage pressure, clear updates while the room is loud
• Must be a strong communicator with a successful record in operational ownership

Nice to Have:
• Cloudflare, WAF, DNS, CDN
• On premises exposure across network, WiFi, servers, and devices. If they have not touched on prem, sharp enough to pick it up fast
• ServiceNow and Azure DevOps
• PCI or another regulated environment

**Screening signals**
• Something they automated that killed a recurring manual task, and what it saved
• An outage walked end to end, root cause, and what changed after
• An alert or dashboard they built that someone else came to rely on
