Job Summary

The Lead, Enterprise Business Solutions is responsible for the strategy, support, governance, and continuous improvement of Carlisle's enterprise business systems supporting Procurement, Quality, and Maintenance operations, including Coupa, SAP Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), and Plant Maintenance (PM).

This role serves as the primary functional owner of the Coupa platform and provides leadership for a team of SAP functional analysts supporting MM, QM, and PM. As a working lead, the successful candidate will balance team leadership responsibilities with hands-on involvement in solution design, system configuration, business process support, issue resolution, acquisitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Lead partners closely with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and IT leadership to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient business solutions that support enterprise objectives. This role provides functional guidance, establishes solution standards, and drives alignment across business processes, while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day support and enhancement activities.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, helping the business maximize the value of Coupa and SAP solutions through process optimization, business onboarding, master data governance, supplier enablement guidance, and technology roadmap planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Functional Oversight
  • Lead and develop a team of SAP functional analysts supporting MM, QM, PM, and procurement-related business processes.
  • Establish team priorities, work assignments, development plans, and performance objectives.
  • Provide functional leadership to analysts across procurement and operational process areas.
  • Ensure consistent support models, documentation standards, testing practices, and solution governance across the team.
  • Coordinate resources across projects, acquisitions, production support, and enhancement initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration between Procurement, Operations, Finance, and IT teams.
  • Partner with leadership to develop long-term application support and resource strategies.

Coupa Platform Ownership & Administration
  • Serve as the primary functional and technical owner of the Coupa Procure-to-Pay platform along with your team of analysts
  • Design, configure, and support Coupa procurement, invoicing, approvals, supplier management, and related business processes.
  • Maintain system configurations, workflows, business rules, and user access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Coupa-related issues and coordinate resolution with internal and external support teams.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and support procedures.

SAP Functional Leadership
  • Provide functional leadership for SAP Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • Oversee solution design, support, and continuous improvement activities across assigned functional areas.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and align system capabilities with business objectives.

Solution Architecture & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and maintain solution architecture standards for Coupa and SAP integrations, ensuring scalability, security, compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement new Coupa functionality, modules, and enhancements.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, user adoption, and compliance.
  • Provide architectural guidance while remaining actively involved in solution configuration and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain the long-term roadmap for procurement technology and process optimization.

Supplier Enablement & Catalog Management
  • Provide functional and technical guidance to Procurement and the Coupa Administrator on supplier enablement strategies, supplier onboarding processes, and electronic transaction capabilities.
  • Partner with Procurement to evaluate new supplier enablement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Support business teams in resolving complex supplier onboarding, catalog, and procurement process issues.
  • Serve as the escalation point and subject matter expert for supplier enablement and catalog-related functionality within Coupa and SAP.

Master Data Governance
  • Partner with business data owners to support governance processes for supplier, purchasing, and procurement-related master data across Coupa and SAP.
  • Provide guidance on master data standards, best practices, and data quality requirements.
  • Support business teams in identifying and resolving master data issues impacting procurement processes and reporting.

Integrations & Technical Coordination
  • Support and oversee Coupa-SAP integrations through SAP BTP and related integration technologies.
  • Monitor integration performance and coordinate issue resolution across systems.
  • Partner with the SAP BTP Team to implement enhancements and support ongoing operations.
  • Participate in testing and validation of integration changes and system upgrades.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • 3+ years of experience leading functional teams, projects, or workstreams within SAP, Coupa, or Procure-to-Pay environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering Coupa Procure-to-Pay solutions.
  • 5+ years of SAP Procure-to-Pay (MM/P2P) functional experience, including purchasing, receiving, invoice processing, and supplier master data.
  • Experience supporting Coupa-SAP integrations and working with middleware platforms such as SAP BTP.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, conducting process assessments, and translating requirements into system solutions.
  • Experience onboarding new business units, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational changes into procurement platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Coupa certifications.
  • SAP MM certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.

Working Conditions:

This is a fully remote professional position. The incumbent is expected to maintain a dedicated, secure, and ergonomically appropriate home office environment with reliable high-speed internet connectivity. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining regular communication with colleagues and stakeholders via virtual collaboration tools.

The position typically operates during standard business hours (ET) of Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm), with flexibility required to accommodate meetings across time zones or critical business needs performed after hours or on weekends. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and remote work standards.

Travel will be required for team meetings, training, or company events, with the expectation of travelling to either Kimberton, PA or Carlisle, PA 1-2 times per month.
