Partner with security, application, and network teams to ensure designs meet compliance, security, and performance goals;
Lead major incident response and resolution, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions;
Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and standardization efforts to reduce manual effort and operational risk;
Recommend and lead strategic infrastructure initiatives, including modernization, cost optimization, and cloud readiness;
Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and best practices;
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to Level 1 and 2 infrastructure team members;
Review and approve infrastructure changes through change management and CAB processes;
Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, translating business requirements into scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
What Sets You Apart:
Qualifications
7-10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud/hybrid environments;
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-platform infrastructure issues;
Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing hybrid (Azure + on-prem) environments;
Experience supporting mission-critical systems with high availability and SLA requirements;
Strong understanding of ITIL best practices: incident, problem, change, and SLA management, including RCA and CAB participation;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of explaining complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences;
Self-starter with the ability to lead projects, mentor others, and influence infrastructure strategy.
Core Technical Expertise (Required)
Cloud (Azure): Deep expertise in Azure networking, identity, compute, storage, governance, and security. Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates;
Networking: Advanced knowledge of LAN/WAN/VPN, routing, segmentation, DNS, DHCP, and firewall architectures. Skilled in troubleshooting complex latency and connectivity issues;
Systems & Identity: Expert-level Windows Server and Linux administration. Strong Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and hybrid authentication experience;
Storage & DR: Design and optimization of SAN/NAS, backup strategies, and DR testing;
Experience with RPO/RTO planning;
Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of infrastructure security, vulnerability remediation, and frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR);
Monitoring & Observability: Skilled in tuning monitoring platforms (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.) and designing actionable alert strategies;
Automation: Advanced scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and experience with Ansible/AWX or equivalent tools to eliminate operational toil.
Preferred Certifications & Tools
Microsoft Azure: AZ-104 (Admin) or AZ-305 (Architect);
Networking: Cisco CCNP or equivalent;
Security: Fortinet NSE 4+ or similar;
ITIL 4: Intermediate or Managing Professional;
Tools: Jira Service Management, Confluence, Power BI;
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments;
Prior experience mentoring or technically leading teams.
