Position Description:

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Phoenix, AZ CGI team!

This career opportunity is based at our client's site in Tempe, AZ and follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring "on-site presence" several days per week.

Lead complex technology initiatives across infrastructure environments!

Responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle-from initiation through implementation and closure-ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

You will partner closely with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to successfully deliver infrastructure-focused programs such as data center migrations, cloud initiatives, and technology refresh efforts.

The ideal candidate brings strong governance discipline, stakeholder management expertise, and the ability to lead within matrixed, multi-stakeholder environments.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

How you'll make an impact
• Lead complex infrastructure projects involving cross-functional and matrixed teams across internal and external stakeholders
• Manage full project lifecycle from initiation through delivery and transition to operations
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource plans, and financial forecasts
• Establish and manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and quality controls
• Facilitate communication across client stakeholders, executive sponsors, PMO leadership, and delivery teams
• Lead project steering committees and present status updates, risks, and recommendations
• Implement and enforce project governance aligned with PMI PMBOK and client PMO standards
• Identify, quantify, and proactively manage risks, assumptions, and constraints
• Oversee change management processes including scope, cost, and schedule adjustments
• Coordinate global technical SMEs, vendors, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful delivery
• Ensure infrastructure changes are aligned with SDLC impacts and in-flight application initiatives
• Foster strong client relationships and manage expectations in dynamic technology environments

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

What you'll bring
• 7+ years of experience in project management with a focus on infrastructure initiatives
• Proven experience leading infrastructure projects such as data center migrations, infrastructure refreshes, cloud transitions, or office consolidations
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience managing projects using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies
• Strong knowledge of PMI-based project management standards and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk across complex programs
• Experience managing global, matrixed technical teams and third-party vendors
• Strong financial management skills including forecasting and budget reconciliation
• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including virtualization and cloud environments
• Understanding of change management principles and organizational impact management
• Familiarity with SDLC and the coordination of infrastructure changes alongside application development efforts
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and fast-paced environments

Strongly Preferred:
• PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
• Experience introducing or rolling out new enterprise technologies
• Experience working within formal PMO governance environments

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $173,500.00.
