Job Title
IT Hardware Asset ManagerPosition Overview:
The IT Hardware Asset Manageris responsible forShaws enterprise Hardware Asset Management (HAM), focusingmainly onproviding IT assets to Shaw associates and facilities, managing hardware lifecycles in ServiceNow,and managing asset inventory stock.Thisposition leads ateam handling global hardware procurement, inventory accuracy, device distribution, refresh projects, and asset valuation.The manager works closely the Service Desk, Deployment, ServiceNow Platform team, Global Sourcing, Corporate Assets, IT BusinessOperationsand other Shaw business units to ensure Shaws technology hardware assets are managed accurately, compliantly, andcost-effectivelyfrominitialrequest through retirement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Managethe Hardware Asset Management team supporting global hardware purchase requisitions, inventory management, asset distribution, device refresh execution, and asset valuation
Manage full life cycle inventory management-responsible for the day-to-day oversight, organization, and operational effectiveness of IT hardware inventory for the enterprise
Advance HAM governance, policies, and lifecycle processes to support audit readiness, compliance, and risk management
Own the end-to-end associate experience for receiving IT hardware-frominitialrequest through delivery, support, and retirement-ensuring the process is intuitive, predictable, and minimizes handoffs
Own the functional implementation, enhancement, and ongoing management of ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) to support full hardware lifecycle visibility and automation
Responsible for and directstaff inall tactical and operational activities related to hardware assets to align with corporate business strategy
Partner with the ServiceNow Platform team to ensureaccuratehardware inventoryand assignment data ismaintainedand integrated with the CMDB
Serve as a key leader in the planning and execution of Shaws Device Refresh program, ensuring lifecycle eligibility, operational readiness, andtimelydelivery
Work with suppliers to obtain hardware quotes and partner with Global Sourcing to secure bulk pricing and preferred vendor agreements
Collaborate withinternal and external partnersto support asset valuation, reconciliation, and financialaccuracy
Coach, develop, andlead4-6salariedassociates to support IT goals while enabling individual professional growth
Establish,manageandmaintainclose working relationships with suppliers (vendors) resolving & escalating problems, as well as providing vendor performance feedback asnecessary
Build strong, inclusive partnerships across IT andnonITbusiness functions
Allocateappropriate resourcesto ensure that projects and tasks are completed within committedtime framesand within budget
Leads with the Users experience firstframes hardware asset decisions around how theyimpactservice, support, and the end users ability to do their work
Providetimely, responsive support and direction to internal and external customers on purchasing, inventory, pricing, and hardware lifecycle questionsprioritizing clarity, follow-through, and ease
Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact hardware issues (missed deliveries, misroutes, urgent replacements), ensuring quick resolution and proactive communication
Improve stakeholder satisfaction (Service Desk, Deployment, business leaders) with the hardware experience
Conduct invoice analysis and ensure validationin accordance withcontractual agreements and service level agreements (SLAs)
Oversee carrier portals and stay informed about market trends and conditions thatimpactsuppliers,cost ofgoods, pricing, and potentially influence company operations or strategy
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience inIT,Business, Operations,Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1+ years of experience leading teams or projects (project management, team leadership, process leadership, or similar responsibilities)
Excellentoral and writtencommunication skills

Engagement with all levels of internal and external users, customer, associates isa must
Demonstrate skill in streamlining operations and implementing cost-saving measures
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

PreferredSkills:
5+yearsofrelevant experienceinoperationsmanagementor relatedfield
3+ years of leadership experience
Experience in process improvement and process documentation
Inventory management experience
Experience in financial analysis, preferably in an IT or technology-focused environment
Experience using purchasing and business applications, including purchase order requisitioning,ServiceNow, Onit, Microsoft Office, and related tools
Project Management and/orCPM experience
