The RoleThe IT team at Hadrian builds and operates the infrastructure, platforms, and services that keep every factory, office, and employee connected. As we scale from a handful of facilities to a national manufacturing network, IT is the backbone that makes that growth possible.
As an IT Engineer, you will own a portfolio of on-prem and SaaS platforms end-to-end. You are not simply keeping them running, but treating their configuration as code, automating operational workflows, and continuously improving how Hadrian's IT systems scale. If the idea of building home automation sounds like a fun weekend project, and you look at a manual process and immediately start thinking about how to script, codify, or eliminate it rather than just doing it faster by hand, keep reading.
What You'll Do- Act as program owner for a portfolio of on-prem and SaaS platforms. Owning configuration, security posture, lifecycle, and roadmap for your assigned systems
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code for SaaS configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent; treat every platform configuration as versioned, reviewable, and deployable code, not a manual click-through
- Design and operate GitOps workflows for platform configuration changes: pull requests, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines that deploy configuration changes the same way software gets shipped
- Write and maintain production-quality automation in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to eliminate repetitive manual work.
- Own SaaS license management across the full stack: procurement coordination, provisioning and deprovisioning, utilization reporting, renewal tracking, and cost optimization, automated wherever manual reporting exists today
- Own the joiner/mover/leaver workflow layer across all managed platforms in coordination with HR and IT operations, built as automated pipelines rather than manual checklists
- Identify recurring or manual operational work and build the automation, integration, or self-service tooling that permanently removes it
- Own vendor relationships and renewal cycles for systems under your purview
- Maintain security baselines and access controls aligned to CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171 across all managed platforms, codified and enforced through automation
What We're Looking For- 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT with a focus on SaaS administration and systems ownership
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows
- Strong scripting and automation proficiency in Python, Bash, etc with a track record of building production-quality tooling, not just one-off scripts
- Experience owning SaaS license management programs: procurement, provisioning, utilization tracking, and renewal coordination
- A proactive, builder mindset: you look for what should be automated or eliminated before it becomes a ticket, rather than waiting for issues to be reported
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks: CMMC, NIST 800-171, SOC 2, or equivalent
What Will Set You Apart- Experience administering CAD/CAM or engineering software platforms in a manufacturing or defense environment (SolidWorks PDM, GrabCAD, CFD)
- Familiarity with ITAR compliance requirements and secure data handling controls for technical software
- Experience building platform integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, or iPaaS tooling
- Software engineering background: comfortable contributing to shared internal repositories and working within a code review process, not just writing standalone scripts
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing environments
