As a Senior Applied Data Scientist you will be leading critical decisions through solutions that drive top line for the company. You'll use your Machine Learning / Deep Learning hands on expertise to build solutions at scale that solve business problems such as Inventory Optimization, Demand Forecasting and Pricing optimization. Your expertise in building, deploying and managing models in production is an essential part of this job. Job Duties/Essential Functions
Builds Machine learning, Deep Learning and other AI approaches to solve business problems.
Designs and builds AI/ ML/DL models to enable revenue growth, improve efficiencies, and to enhance member experience.
Frames a problem and comes up with a hypothesis.
Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Validates data and model accuracy on an ongoing basis to ensure continued high accuracy and outcome
Coordinates with operational and business teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
Identifies new data that could enhance the quality and accuracy of models to improve predictions.
Communicates results effectively with storytelling and visualization.
Conducts A/B testings and suggests options
Conducts back testing to know the plan vs actual results to improve the DS Model accuracy.
Working experience with building AI solutions on the Cloud platform
Provides feedback to enhance the testing framework and AI/MLOps.
Extends beyond core data science work to perform data wrangling and data preparation as needed.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
Required:
8+ years experience in building and implementing Machine Learning, Deep Learning models in production at scale
5+ years experience working in Retail/CPG/eCommerce industry.
Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python
Proficiency in Core GCP Services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, VPC.
Proficiency in ML/AI platform: Vertex AI (training, prediction, pipelines), AutoML, TensorFlow.
Experience with at least one data visualization tool, preference: PowerBI. Looker
Strong working knowledge of Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML pipelines.
Familiarity with MLflow for experiment tracking and model management.
Recommended:
Bachelor's/Master's degree, or the equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, and Statistics/Mathematics or related field.
Knowledge of Agile software development.
Exposure to the retail industry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.
Successful internal candidates will have spent one year or more on their current team.
Pay Ranges:
Level 1 - $115,000 - $160,000
Level 2 - $145,000 - $192,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
Level 3 - $188,000 - $240,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
Level 4 - $236,000 - $295,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
