Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer.   • You will configure and manage application, print, file, and database servers.
  • You will perform routine and recurring work involved in the set up and maintenance of IT system componenets.
  • You will oversee and perform installation, configuration, administration and operation on government furnished mobile devices.
  • You will conduct system testing and preventative maintenance.

  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • Must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance and must obtain and maintain NSA badging for NIPR/SIPR/NSANet accounts. Failure to retain this level of security clearance and access will be grounds for reassignment, demotion, or removal.
  • A Counterintelligence Polygraph is required and a non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • Employee must have a current Comptia Security+ certification
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (451), proficiency level (Basic) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies


Qualifications

You are required to have information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following six competencies, as defined:

In addition to your experience demonstrating the six competencies above, you are required to have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: Installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, monitoring performance, and securing enterprise servers, installed services, and applications. Performing system administration functions on Microsoft Operating Systems, enterprise applications, Unix operating systems, and Linux Operating Systems.

Education

At a minimum, all CES employees in the Professional Work Category require a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Some groups in this category, however, may have a positive education requirement that cannot be replaced with experience, such as a requirement for a particular type or level of an academic degree.

This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
