DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and
IT teams, ensuring technology solutions align with business needs. This role will elicit and analyze
requirements, translate them into detailed specifications, and collaborate with teams across the
entire organization and throughout the project lifecycle to drive successful IT implementations.
This support is crucial to the delivery of the company's mission of helping children achieve a
lifetime of great oral health.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Management Information
Systems, or related field. - Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., PMI-PBA) preferred.
JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role, preferably in
an IT environment.
JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
- Experience in Agile Development Methodologies.
- Business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
- Understanding PMI methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with both
technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), requirements management tools
(e.g., Jira, Confluence), and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct interviews, workshops, and user
observations to identify, clarify, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
Analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement. - Solution Design Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams (developers, architects, etc.) to
propose and evaluate potential solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are
technically feasible. - Documentation and Modeling: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including
process flows, use cases, wireframes, and functional specifications. - User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop UAT test plans, scenarios, and scripts. Coordinate
with stakeholders for test execution, analysis, and sign-off. - Project Support and Communication: Participate in project meetings, providing updates on
requirements of status, risks, and changes. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to IT development processes,
requirements gathering methodologies, and overall project efficiency. - Other duties as required.
