Job PurposeThe BPS Associate Manager provides support to the Americas, specifically to end user systems, processes, projects and other systems as needed. This individual will actively partner with the business team to provide support, assess new IT requests, and identify the proper modification to the IT solution to enable business process changes, aligning with Corporate Processes. This position provides leadership and process expertise during all project phases and ongoing user support after implementation of Barilla's IT systems and processes.
The SAP BPS Associate Manager will support, enhance, and optimize our SAP landscape across the Americas region. This role combines technical development, EDI integration expertise, and functional understanding of OTC processes to deliver robust, scalable business solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on ABAP capability, deep familiarity with IDocs and EDI standards, and proven experience supporting end-to-end OTC processes.
This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL.
Key Accountabilities- Lead and support projects through all phases including requirements gathering, solution evaluation, implementation, testing, deployment, and closeout, ensuring alignment with corporate business and IT strategies.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex SAP application and integration issues across OTC, EDI, and related business processes.
- Perform root cause analysis, system debugging, and impact assessments to identify and resolve production issues while improving system stability and performance.
- Provide technical and functional support for EDI communications between the company and customers, vendors, and 3PL partners, including IDoc monitoring, exception management, error resolution, and integration support.
- Work with X12, EDIFACT, XML, and other formats as needed; collaborate with middleware teams (e.g., PI/PO or third-party EDI providers) to ensure reliable data processing.
- Maintain EDI partner profiles, port configurations, and message types.
- Support Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes including order management, pricing, billing, credit management, chargebacks, rebates, customer master data, and integration with downstream systems.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, evaluate business requirements, and recommend SAP-aligned solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience. - Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to ensure end-to-end OTC process alignment across SAP and integrated systems.
- Partner directly with end users, business stakeholders, and global SAP experts to ensure solutions align with corporate standards, business objectives, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, knowledge articles, training materials, and support procedures while providing Level 2 and Level 3 production support.

Desired Skills and Background- Bachelor's degree or specialized training / equivalent work experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- 4+ years of experience supporting SAP applications with a focus on business process analysis, troubleshooting, solution design, and production support.
- Strong EDI and IDoc experience, including monitoring, partner configuration, error analysis, issue resolution, and integration support.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, including order management, pricing, billing, customer service, and related integrations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, system debugging, and impact assessments to resolve complex business and technical issues.
- Familiarity with middleware and integration platforms such as SAP PI/PO, Gentran, Sterling, Seeburger, or similar solutions.
- Proven experience in full lifecycle projects, including requirements gathering, solution evaluation, testing, deployment, go-live support, and post-production stabilization.
- Proven experience in IT industry supporting the business in a role of business analyst/application support analyst
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred - Experience in CPG, manufacturing, consumer goods, or related industries.
- Exposure to S/4HANA development (CDS, AMDP, OData, BTP).
- Understanding of job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys) or ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in IT industry supporting the business in a role of business analyst/application support analyst
- Experience working in a global environment preferred

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $100k-$115k plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
